Quality Control
Practical Quality Standards for Rubber & Plastic Products
At Aarthi Rubber & Plastic, quality control is integrated into every stage of our manufacturing process—from material selection and production to testing and final inspection. Our systematic approach helps ensure consistent dimensions, reliable performance, durability, and customer satisfaction.
1. Purpose
Our quality control system is designed to maintain consistent product quality, minimize manufacturing defects, and ensure every rubber and plastic component meets the required technical specifications, dimensional accuracy, material properties, and performance standards.
2. Scope of Quality Control
Our quality procedures cover the complete manufacturing cycle, including:
- Raw material inspection
- Compound and polymer verification
- Moulding and production
- Dimensional inspection
- Physical and performance testing
- Final product inspection
- Packing and dispatch
3. Incoming Quality Control (IQC)
3.1 Raw Material Inspection
All incoming rubber and plastic materials are verified against approved specifications before entering production. Material identification, batch details, appearance, and required properties are checked to maintain consistency.
3.2 Material & Compound Verification
We work with polymers including Natural Rubber, NBR, Chloroprene, FKM, Silicone, EPDM, and HNBR. Materials are selected and verified according to the specific application and required performance.
3.3 Visual Inspection
Raw materials and components are checked for visible defects such as cracks, contamination, surface damage, improper finish, air bubbles, and other abnormalities.
4. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)
4.1 First Article Inspection
Before commencing batch production, the first component is inspected to verify dimensions, appearance, material, moulding quality, and specifications against the approved requirements.
4.2 Process Monitoring
Manufacturing parameters are monitored throughout production to maintain consistent moulding quality, dimensional accuracy, and product performance.
4.3 Dimensional Inspection
Components are checked using precision measuring equipment to ensure critical dimensions, tolerances, thickness, diameter, and profile requirements are maintained.
5. Laboratory Testing & Inspection
Our well-equipped laboratory supports comprehensive product evaluation using advanced testing equipment, including:
- Moving Die Rheometer
- Tensile Testing Equipment
- Shore A Durometer
- Video Measuring System
These testing capabilities help verify material properties, hardness, strength, dimensions, and overall product performance.
6. Final Quality Inspection
Before dispatch, finished products undergo final inspection to verify:
- Product dimensions and tolerances
- Surface appearance and finish
- Hardness and material properties
- Moulding quality
- Quantity and identification
- Customer-specific requirements
Only products that meet the required quality standards are approved for delivery.
